Marina del Rey’s history is full of engineers and enigmatic businessmen, fishermen and the Federal Government. It was always the Marina’s colorful neighbor to the north, Venice, which attracted the hippies and drums, poets and guitars. Yet, with its shimmering water and enviable architecture, Marina del Rey now stands on its own as a place that harbors artists and artisans alike.

FINE ART

In Fisherman’s Village to the South, Howard Marchese recently opened Marchese Fine Art Gallery, a space specializing in Southern California artists. Marchese's reason for opening his gallery was to focus on the fine array of artists that are based in Southern California. Howard Marchese studied the great impressionist masters at the Mission Renaissance Academy in Hollywood. He settled in Marina del Rey nearly a decade ago and now teaches and hosts workshops at his new gallery.

SCULPTURE

Near Marchese, Alixandra Pottery opened this summer. Owner Alix Cunningham has been spinning her pottery wheels for years and considers it a meditative practice suitable for both children and adults. Her small shop showcases her work, from rustic platters to stately bowls, and also hosts pottery classes for everyone aged 2 to 92.

PHOTOGRAPHY

Photographer Caryson is based in Los Angeles, but visits the coasts and waterways of the city for inspiration. In his Reflections in Venice Grand Canal, he shows a moody side of the Marina. With its grey reflections, it reminds one of winter.

Greg Wenger has been taking professional photographs in Marina del Rey for many years. Without him, we wouldn’t have some of our earliest photos of the Marina as he helped preserve many of Marina del Rey's earliest photographs. Based in the Marina, he often finds artistic inspiration around him on and off the water. Wenger’s photographic range extends into portraiture as well, making him a sought after celebrity photographer.

STREET ART

Popularized by international sensations like Banksy, Shepard Fairey and Mr. Brainwash, street art is more than just graffiti. Photographs of it are the only way this temporary but vivid and well-exposed artwork survives. Artists working in the Marina frequently spot their share of these clever and quirky images, adding life and personality to every day public structures.

Mixing a Drink or Officiating a Wedding, Fran Adams is Marina del Rey’s Biggest Fan

The Ritz-Carlton Marina del Rey straddles the line between contemporary elegance and approachable ease. The hospitality is warm, the standards are high. At its signature restaurant, jer-ne, the bar is the main attraction. Both locals and international travelers spend late afternoons and late nights at its high-backed, plush leather stools. The difference between jer-ne’s bar and the bar down the street is not just its proximity to the water (100 yards away) or high end bar snacks (think: truffled fries) – it’s a bartender named Fran.

Frances Adams has been working behind jer-ne’s bar for exactly 14 years this month. She’s a former Second City performer from the Midwest who’s adopted the Marina as her permanent home; her personal and work email handle is “windymarina.” A few years ago, good friends of hers who were also co-workers, asked if she would consider becoming a minister to marry them. She did, and has since married seven couples in the Marina – all of them had been regulars at her bar. Recently, we sat down with Fran to talk drinks and share stories about the Marina.

Q: How long have you been a bartender?

A: Since I was 18. I’m originally from Milwaukee and I’m a 4^th generation bartender. My father was an outstanding bartender. His father was the most famous bartender in Milwaukee. My great-grandfather was a horrible bartender, my great-great grandfather was also an excellent bartender, so they say.

Q: Where in town do you live?

A: In the Marina, in Mariner’s Village. When I first moved to LA, I thought it would be a good place to start but I love it. I love the fog and the cool mornings, sweaters and fireplaces. If I never see another humid Midwestern summer I will be happy.

Q: What’s your favorite water activity in town?

A: I’m not much of a water person, but I do love being on boats. I love the Marina’s $1 water taxi in the summer. I take it every weekend on my way to doing my grocery shopping at Nick’s Grocery Store. Mike and Michele own it; it’s right off the beach. You’d think it was a little bodega but they have a great wine selection, unique frozen foods too.

Q: What’s the most popular cocktail at Jer-ne?

A: The Vodka Martini. We also have a really beautiful single malt scotch collection. Scotch lovers know us pretty well.

Q: What’s your favorite drink to make?

A: It’s also our signature drink, the #14. It’s a cocktail I created for a guest who stayed with us for a full summer. He’s an NBA Player, Anthony Mason. That year, he was training and looking to get a contract. All summer long, he wouldn’t drink because he was training, but he fantasized about drinks and would come and sit at my bar and ask me what kind of drink I would make for him once he was signed and the summer came to an end. I thought about it and made him a drink that tastes like summer, with pineapple and passion fruit. At the end of that summer, he signed the biggest contract of his career. He comes back to visit his lucky place every year – it’s been 10 years since I created that drink – and now there’s a #14 ½ -- he has a son who also plays basketball! We added coconut to the #14 for that one.

Q: What are some of your favorite places in the Marina(besides Jer-ne)?

A: Tony P’s. I love Tony. He’s the unofficial mayor of Marina del Rey. I love him as my neighbor, he’s just so gracious and he’s a wonderful host.

I’m addicted to Mendocino Farms, I send all of our guests there. They all come back raving about it.

I also always find great things at Beverage Warehouse – I could spend a day in there, just looking at everything!

Q: What else so you love about the Marina?

A: I love that at my bar I have regulars, but they’re not all locals. I have regulars that come from San Francisco every other week who know the regulars that come from New York once a month who know the regulars that come from down the street. Marina del Rey is a great neighborhood because you always feel like a local, even if you’re not from the city…

On the Water: Kayak Attack

This summer, think of the Marina as a tall glass of water. Simple and refreshing, it’s the best way to cool down when temperatures climb above 75F. There are dozens of water activities – from paddle-boarding to sailing – to partake in, but lately we’re partial to kayaking.

Like a romantic gondola’s slick cousin, the kayak is a great way to travel around the Marina, see the sights and sunset, and get a work-out all at the same time. Why slave away in a stuffy indoor gym when you can take a personal breezy boat ride on the Marina?

While kayaking has a reputation as being a fast water sport, on the Marina, it’s a relaxing way to while away an afternoon. Go with a partner and take turns taking in the sites and paddling. Bring a waterproof camera to capture the views digitally too!

Kayaking is great for groups too. Recently, we talked to newlywed and local resident Otto Rose and owner Russ Carrington of Action Watersports about the kayaking bachelor party they hosted last summer.

What gave you the idea to host a kayaking bachelor party? It was actually Russ's idea. I live in C basin and the idea made sense...not much driving, very low cost, giving local businesses our business.

What bars/restaurants did you stop at? Which were your favorites and why? We stopped at Chart House, Del Rey YachtClub, and finished at the California Yacht Club (CYC)...the first two were good. Classy and good food.

What is the craziest thing that happened during the party? We met God...some guy at the DRYC gave me a biz card that introduced himself as GOD. He was a bit weird but made things interesting.

Any plans to try a new water sport like say, paddle boarding? No plans, I am pretty active with most water sports...my new wife wants to surf though.

What three words would best describe your experience? Camaraderie, tranquillo, healthy.

Would you recommend an Action Water Sports adventure to other grooms-to-be? Absolutely, everyday, all day.

This popular series of free outdoor concerts is held in one of the most spectacular waterfront settings in Los Angeles, Burton W. Chace Park. Attracting stellar musical talent, four classical music concerts featuring the 75-member Marina del Rey Summer Symphony alternate with four exciting pop concerts on select Thursday and Saturday evenings. All concerts are free to the public. Concerts begin at 7 p.m., and generally last about two hours.

All concerts take place outside on the green in Burton W. Chace Park, 10-acre park surrounded on three sides by water. Audiences are invited to picnic in advance of each concert. Bring your own low beach chairs and blankets for first-come, first-served seating, and a limited number of chairs are available for rent on site. Come early for best seating, and bring along a jacket or sweater to stay comfortable at night near the water. The park is located at 13650 Mindanao Way, Marina del Rey.

Free Summer Weekend Beach Shuttle
Visitors love to use the Free Summer Beach Shuttle as a convenient way to explore the community. The shuttle runs summer weekends and holidays from Memorial Day Weekend through Labor Day Weekend.

Look for the Starfish on the BusThe white shuttle buses are decorated in beach sand and starfish graphics. Look for the signs reading Free Beach Shuttle – Playa Vista, Marina del Rey, Venice Pier. The same graphics are used on Shuttle Stop signs along the route.

Regular Days and Hours of Operation
The Beach Shuttle buses will travel from Playa Vista every 30 minutes beginning at 10:15 a.m. Important Schedule Exception: there will be no 3:15 p.m. - 4:15 p.m. shuttles departing to allow for required shuttle drivers’ lunch breaks.

We recently learned of one couple who is celebrating their love in Marina del Rey, from the engagement to saying “I Do.” David Wirth and Trinky Errasquin were kind of enough to share with us what makes Marina del Rey so romantic to them, read their story below and feel free to drop us a line at media@marinadelrey.com if you feel inspired.

After proposing to Trinky at our Marina del Rey apartment’s clubhouse (pictured above), we announced our engagement at Shanghai Reds to our families on Thanksgiving dinner last year. After moving to the Marina last July, we fell in love with everything the Westside city has to offer – the cool breezes, walking and bike paths, and little surprises that we continue to stumble upon. Trinky is tireless in finding the perfect everything for our big day. So, for our wedding in fall 2011, we are considering Burton W. Chace Park or Marina Beach for the ceremony; then hosting the reception on the water aboard a FantaSea Yacht.

6. Consider everyone. Your wedding is a huge affair with people coming from all walks of life. Make sure to keep everyone in mind when planning your outdoor wedding—from Baby Niece to Great Grandpa. Consider tents or paper umbrellas to shield the guests from the sun and have iced water on hand. If you really want the ceremony to be in the open, perhaps hold your reception indoors so all can share in your love.

7. Create plans convenient for travel. When planning rehearsal dinners, bridal brunches, or even bachelor and bachelorette parties at destination weddings, minimize complications by planning them near the location of the wedding ceremony. Marina del Rey offers a host of restaurants, bars and lounges within a one mile stretch to host all your wedding-related celebrations.

What makes the holiday season so special in Marina del Rey?: When you drive down the street in the Marina, you can’t help but feel the holiday cheer. From the lighted houses and ornamented shops, to the decorated street and boats with lights ablaze, Marina Del Rey is a pleasant reprieve in the middle of an otherwise hectic holiday shopping season. (We swear – he wrote that himself!)

How did you prepare for this year’s Boat Parade?: No matter how long we plan, we never seem to be fully prepared for the parade. As soon as the theme “A Rock ‘N Roll Christmas” was announced, we began to float ideas (no pun intended). We decided, who better than The King of Rock and Roll to lead a Rock ‘N Roll Christmas? So, with that, our primary objective was to create the “Big Elvis,” which was the oversized Elvis made of Christmas lights. On the day of the parade, we still had a number of items to complete before show time so, as a team, we worked together and had the boat ready just in time.

Any behind the scenes drama that we don’t know about?: There was a water skiing Santa Claus in the works, but he wasn’t ready in time for the parade.

Tell us a bit more about what appealed to the judges about your boat?: Well, the major concept behind our boat design was that the large “Elvis Rocks” sign would be switched by an animated elf to read “Elves Rock.” The boat was filled with live, singing elves and Elvises. In the spirit of the holidays, I really think the judges enjoyed the humor behind the design.

If Elvis were to come back to life for the parade, what would you tell him?: Of course, I would let him know that he is still The King (and that he, and elves, rock!). I would then take him to dinner after the parade, his choice, as he was always keen on finding the best eateries– which the Marina is known for. I reckon he’d be particularly fond of The Counter and Warehouse Restaurant.

Marina del Rey Is (Finish the Sentence): An oasis in an otherwise hectic world. (We couldn’t agree more!)

Okay – enough about the parade! What else do you love about the Marina year-round?: I’m an active participant in the boating community of the Marina, and enjoy the many opportunities to get on the water from the Marina. And, I love the many great restaurants across the city – from Fisherman’s Village to Admiralty Way, there are so many great options.

If I could do one job for the rest of my life… it would be: An astronaut! Okay, realistically, I love my job. The marina is truly a hidden gem of Los Angeles. It’s such an ideal place to hold an event because of its gorgeous views, year-round activities and easy accessibility. I love that my job is to sell events in a place that even I think of as paradise.

You have 24 hours to live. What are you going to do?: Spend a perfect day in the marina. Brunch at Café del Rey, featuring all-you-can-drink mimosas and sparkling wine and a jazz trio, followed by a stroll through Chace Park, then a sunset cruise, ending with a ride on the water taxi to eat dinner at Jer-ne. That would be a perfect day!

You have one last meal. What’s it gonna be?: The truffle pizza with caramelized onion, black truffle cream and reggiano at Café del Rey!

What things should we add to our growing bucket list for Marina del Rey?: Take a sailing lesson. Participate in the Holiday Boat Parade. Go on the Friday night Blues Cruise from Hornblower Cruises & Events. See a concert/movie at Chace Park.

That last part sounds a bit biased ;-) But definitely not untrue, residents and visitors alike love Café del Rey for its gorgeous waterfront views and fine dining choices! The holidays are coming up…are there any specials for residents and visitors to take advantage of?: Definitely! We will be open Thanksgiving day, as well as Christmas Eve and New Year's Eve. On Thanksgiving, we are offering a three-course meal (prix fixe), with some great selections for everyone in the family, from crispy calamari and Kumamoto oysters, to venison tenderloin, pumpkin brulee, donuts and hot chocolate. And, to add to the growing list of reasons to visit, we recently welcomed a new executive chef, Daniel Roberts!

That’s all work talk. Let’s talk about what you do outside of work!: When I’m not enjoying my work in the marina, I enjoy being outdoors and experiencing new things. I enjoy hiking in the Santa Monica Mountains and biking down to Hermosa Beach.

You work at a restaurant, so is it safe to assume you’re a foodie, too?: I am a huge foodie and am constantly trying all the new restaurants around town.

Our quarterly “Beers to Try Before You Die” dinners are very popular, especially with the locals. Our next beer dinner will feature five Stone Brewery Beers with a 5-Course BBQ Meal, and will be hosted on August 11th.

Word on the street is that Tony P’s owns the last keg of Stone Brewery’s 14th Anniversary Beer. Can you confirm this?
That’s right. And the brew master is coming out on August 11th during the beer dinner to explain the beers, too.

Back to you…we read your bio and you and your business partner, Danny Ringwood, seem to be very active in the community. Everything from fundraisers for local schools and organizations to awards from the Boys and Girls Club, California Restaurant Association…the list goes on and on.

While the sun is still hiding from us, it can’t stay away! When the sun begins to blaze, try something new this summer and cool off in the Marina -- one of the only places in Los Angeles that gives you immediate access to the Pacific Ocean. Here are a few ways you can get on the water to enjoy the view and the coastal breeze, too!

Kayaks- Rent a kayak for the day, or sign up for lessons with the UCLA Marine Aquatic Center or Action Watersports. A relaxing and easy way to enjoy the Marina from the water, while getting some exercise too.
Jet Ski- Fast and fun, you are guaranteed an adrenaline-filled afternoon if you choose to rent a jet ski. Rent one from Marina del Rey Boat Rentals.
Chartered Sail- Organize an outing with a small group of friends and enjoy a day or a half-day on the water. Bring some refreshments of your choice, snacks and your best nautical outfit. You will find it peaceful on the water as you clip along without the aid of a motor. Charter a boat with: Paradise Bound Yacht Charters, Blue Water Sailing , Blue Pacific Boating or Marina Sailing.
Rowing- UCLA Marine Aquatic Center offers rowing classes. In Sculling I-I, you will learn basic sculling technique, rowing theory and equipment handling in one-person rowing shells. Great exercise, and since class ends at 8:30 a.m. on weekdays, you can even make it to work on time!
Cruise- Hornblower Cruises & Events is synonymous with cruising in Marina del Rey. Every Saturday and Sunday, hop on a Hornblower boat for a 45 minute harbor tour. The tours leave every hour from noon to 5 p.m. Looking for a more intimate time? Hornblower also offers dinner dance cruises, and other dining experiences on the water.

For years, the Marina has been a popular wedding location, probably because it's on the waterfront and in the middle of West LA. There are lots of options for ceremony sites, including hotel terraces, sandy beachfronts, public parks, restaurants overlooking the harbor, yacht clubs and a handful of beautiful yachts right on the water.

A Local's Perspective

I usually do a once a week Marina del Rey jaunt because there’s a certain neighborhood serenity that I don’t quite get from other areas in LA. Because everything is centrally located, I can do all my errands and get some shopping done in a few hours. Best of all, parking is easy and free in the Marina.

I usually start my morning by parking at Waterside (located off Admiralty between Fiji & Mindanao) and pop in Starbucks (which has the most user-friendly public restrooms) and enjoy my coffee and snack sitting by the water fountain observing the people. I always see the same locals, I believe they’re boaters, hanging out and enjoying the peaceful morning. The post office is also located here, making it easy for me to take care of any outgoing mail. My first errand done. I might window shop at M. Federic, BCBG and pick up a few items at the beauty supply before I’m off to the banks for my second errand of the day. Bank of America, Chase and US Bank are all located within a block of each other.

On the corner of Lincoln Boulevard and Mindanao is a semi-new area with one of my banks (US Bank) located in it as well as a Nail Spa where I take care of my third errand, a pedicure. This nail spa has great massage chairs and gives each client chilled bottled water while you get your mani-pedi. And again, parking is easy and free.

Taking a break from errands, I drive over to Villa Marina Marketplace (off Maxella) and park in front of DSW. DSW is a huge store of discounted shoes and handbags (fyi, they also have a clean restroom). Love the selection and prices here. Across the street I like to pop into Petals-N-Wax for cool cards and gifts. This place has very unique and quirky items, great for occasions throughout the year. After Petals-N-Wax, I’ll walk down Maxella towards Lincoln and take a right on Glencoe to stop into Fedex to send a package off. Fourth errand accomplished. This is a main branch of Fedex which makes it convenient for those who don’t have an account from home or office.

All my encounters with people are very relaxed and conversational. The vibe and tone of the Marina is pleasant which is probably why I prefer to take a day to come here and enjoy the city while getting errands done.

Back in my car, I take Bali Way to Admiralty Way heading North. Just a few yards on the left is the library with a small parking lot. I like to pick up all the free local papers for the week there. They have them lying out in front. Errand number five off my list. Now that I’ve worked up my hunger, I’m craving either the tuna sashimi at Sugarfish, the Jer-Ne salad  with green apple, crisp prosciutto, walnut brittle, point reyes bleu cheese mousse or a bowl of chowder soup and fried clams from Organic Panificio. I opt for Panificio because they have a great view of the harbor. Once again, parking is easy here too.

My last errand before heading back home is grocery shopping. Of course I save this for last because I want to get my food in the fridge as quickly as possible. There are two Ralphs markets within a half-mile of each other and a Gelson’s which is great for the more gourmet/exotic items.

I love how easily accessible many things are in Marina del Rey. I can get around without fighting traffic or worrying about parking. It’s convenient, quick, laid-back and fun.

Now this is a drink! This recipe was graciously provided by Erica Cerles, a server/bartender at the Crystal Fountain Restaurant located in the Marina International Hotel.

TROPICAL HEAT WAVE
1 oz. Malibu Rum
1 oz. Cremé de Banana
1 tbsp. Tabasco Sauce
2 oz. Pineapple Juice

Combine Rum and Cremé de Banana over ice. Add Tabasco sauce and pineapple juice. Shake vigorously and garnish with pineapple and chilé pepper.

Connect with fellow enthusiasts; learn the ropes about what is current. Marina del Rey offers a welcoming community for boaters of all kinds and experience levels. There are many different boating clubs and associations that cater to the novice sailor/boater to help promote and encourage the development of sailing. Single Mariners of Marina del Rey is a non-profit club that only asks for donations to participate, while Marina Sunday Sailors offers your first two visits free and then if you want to join, it’s a small cost. Both clubs bring together adults who share a love of sailing and provide sailing activities in a friendly environment.

At the Marina's many yacht clubs, local and visiting boat owners can find access and a full array of services. The clubs also serve as a social hub for the boating community, and often offer facilities perfect for staging a memorable waterside event.

Yacht owners who plan on visiting our lovely harbor for a few days can rent guest docks through Pacific Mariners Yacht Club at a nominal fee per night based upon availability. For those who plan on docking in Marina del Rey for an extended length of time, yacht clubs such as Marina Venice Yacht Club (MVYC) might be of interest. On Sundays from 4:00-7:00pm they have an Open House for guests to check out the club. MVYC is a non-profit organization of people who just like the Pirates of the Caribbean, like to hit the Island for a great time, in the Corinthian Spirit.

In the spirit of the summer, Chef Jason of Cafe del Rey in Marina del Rey is pleased to share with you the secrets to his famous heirloom tomato salad with yellow watermelon and micro basil recipe!

Chef says, "One of my previous chefs and I came up with the combination of tomato and watermelon while on a guest chef event in Hawaii several years ago. We actually did it as a canapé with king crablegs. It was a wonderfully refreshing and beautiful marriage of flavors, perfect for a summer day in Hawaii. The dish evolved into a salad after we realized that the crab didn't really add anything to the dish... sometimes less is more. As heirloom tomatoes and yellow watermelon share the same growing season, this dish is always one I look forward to enjoying in the summer, and I hope you will too! We love to get our watermelon from the farmer's market, and our heirloom tomatoes from scarborough farms, which is a local small family owned farm."

Heirloom Tomato and Yellow Watermelon Salad
Ingredients:
Serves 1
1 ea. Heirloom tomato (baseball size)
4 oz. Yellow seedless watermelon
1 tsp. Micro basil
2 oz. Aged sherry vinegar
1 oz. Extra virgin olive oil
2 tsp. Toasted coriander
2 tsp. Minced tarragon
2 tsp. Honey
2 tsp. Whole grain mustard
Salt and pepper to taste

Slice the watermelon and tomato into 2 inch slices. Combine all other ingredients except the micro basil in a mixing bowl, and whisk until incorporated. Add tomato and watermelon, and toss until evenly dressed. Assemble salad by stacking the watermelon and tomato, alternating them. Garnish with micro basil. Enjoy!

Workout Walk in the Marina

Marina Beach, also known as Mother's Beach, is a lovely sand crescent of about 250 meters where the protected, shallow waters are absolutely warm and tranquil. Let's explore a real marina and work up a sweat!

Head left from Marina Beach along the paved biking and walking path. In just two minutes you'll turn right on Palawan Way and enter the world of ships. First up is a beached fleet of enormous outrigger racing canoes (marinaoutrigger.org) and as you continue along Palawan, you're on the designated Waterfront Walk. Soon you'll be surrounded by the forest of masts and rigging of the wind-jammers who ply the waters of California - and beyond.

After about 400 meters - passing a fleet of enormous power yachts - you'll come to the exclusive Del Rey Yacht Club. You continue on toward the left and head for the really huge, gleaming vessels of the FantaSea Yacht Club. Congratulations! You've just circumnambulated the entire Palawan Way jetty that symbolizes California's reverential history with the sea.

Now turn right and head towards the large white building with the bell tower and continue on Waterfront Walk past yet another armada of the fleet. After a good half mile you come to the end of the Walkway. You can turn left her on Admiralty Way to enter the home stretch or go right to prolong your hike through the pleasing greenery of Admiralty Park. Take a beverage break or continue and cross over Admiralty and head left along the narrow strip of greenery here. This is where you can take a stab at the Parcourse Fitness Circuit where signs challenge you to perform a series of intricate exercises over the next few hundred meters.

After your workout (like you needed it?) you'll pick up the adjoining waling and biking path and head for home. You'll soon be walking beneath a canopy of old pines and past nesting egreats who make their home here in a narrow lagoon. You'll then walk the last third of a kilometer along Washington Blvd. And then finally, you'll walk left on Via Marina and arrive sae and sound back at Mothers Beach. And we're willing to bet that the idea of a quick dip in the ocean never looked quite so good...

July 4th Fireworks in Marina del Rey

The traditional fireworks extravaganza over Marina del Rey takes place on Saturday, July 4th, 2009 at 9 p.m., and lasts approximately 20 minutes. Music coordinated with the fireworks display can be heard on KXLU FM radio, 88.9. The music will also be relayed over loudspeakers in Burton Chace Park.

Presented by the famed Zambelli Pyrotechnics, which originated more than 100 years ago in Italy, the display will follow the Italian tradition of huge finales. The event is sponsored by Los Angeles County Department of Beaches & Harbors.

Where to Watch the Fireworks
Fireworks are launched from a floating barge located in the waters of the main channel between Fisherman’s Village and the Breakwater (the ocean entrance to the harbor).
Depending upon weather and cloud cover on the night of the show, the fireworks can usually be seen throughout the marina, and from the waterfront side of most hotels, restaurants, beaches, apartments and anchorages. You may be able to glimpse the fireworks from afar from Playa del Rey and Venice Beach Pier. Popular locations include:

•   Fisherman’s Village, 13755 Fiji Way (2 blocks west of Lincoln Blvd.)
•   Burton Chace Park, 13650 Mindanao Way (1 block west of Admiralty Way)
•   Marina Beach (Mother’s Beach), 4101 Admiralty Way (1 block south of Washington Blvd.)
